macrophotography - Bee collecting Pollen
In Spring 2016 during Easter time i took some nice macro photos of a bee collecting pollen in our garden. There was this nice yellow flower where so many bees gathered around for collecting their pollen for the honey. It was pretty easy to find a bee for photography but the more difficult part of the story was to find a bee holding still long enough to take a picture with a macro lens. But i was patient enough and after several tries wiht several blurry images i managed to get some nice closeup macro shots of these beautiful animals.

One fact i didn't know and i find a bit funny is that bees stretch out their tongue while they are collecting the pollen from the flowers. Most of the pollen is stored on small hairs between their legs and on their bodies. They carry pretty much of weight back to their home. For one of my first Macro shots i think the pictures are not bad although i think i can improve in this field of photography a lot.

Kind of weird don't you think? So many people vote, but no one leaves a comment. I don't know, it amazes me.
You did very well on these images. The first one showing all the pollen all over the insect, the second one showing the head perfectly. Great shots.
Thanks for the comment, yes i was trying my macro lens and i think the results are pretty nice.
