White magic is considered to be an occult science and a way to bring change to people’s lives through wizards or seers that work with special energies: aura and celestial forces.

The energy or aura of people and nature are the bases of the so-called Magic. Depending on whether it is used for good or evil it will be called ‘White Magic’ or ‘Black Magic’.

White magic refers to acts of magic liturgy (rituals or rites that form the occult art or science with the purpose of obtaining results contrary to the laws of nature) whose nature, methods or purposes are commonly accepted by the society in which they take place.

Contrary to black magic, white magic seeks the prosperity of the individual, and is beneficial. This kind of magic includes spells and sortileges of various kinds to improve crops, bring rain, good herbs to stay healthy or cure disease, protection charms and talismans.

People resort to it to drive away bad luck. It was an official form of magic on several occasions throughout history. It is said that at all times there have been men and women who claimed to have powers to practice magic – anyone from priests to emperors would call themselves wizards.

There were state officials who worked as seers and dedicated themselves to foretell who would be the victor in battle. They were the wizards.

On the contrary, witchcraft, practiced by people of a lower cultural and financial status, was seen as a byproduct of magic. People came to witches to drive away bad luck or improve crops. At first it was a beneficial witchcraft. Witches practiced the so-called white magic. This could be seen both in the West and in the East, in ancient Rome, ancient Athens, ancient Egypt, and even in Africa there were talismans against the evil eye, amulets, magical herbs and potions.

More recently, the concept of witchcraft as a religious heresy mainly linked to women emerges in hand with Christianity, and the wizard gives way to the witch, thus the fight against magic becoming a synonym of a struggle against paganism.

White magic confronts black magic; in fact, it is used as an opponent to black magic, as it combats evil spells, since white magic seeks prosperity, integrity, and the physical and mental development in line with the spirit.

Black magic refers to those acts of magical liturgy whose nature, methods and purposes are not commonly accepted by the society where they take place. Black magic is a spell, and is defined as the performance of curses designed to cause misfortune, diseases, or any other harm.

It is used as an antonym to white magic. The difference between white magic and black magic lies in their purpose. Black magic is used to inflict harm or pain on others. Instead, white magic is used for the opposite – it seeks that which is good to provide wellbeing to the persons involved.

Luckily, white magic is stronger than black magic. Its spells are more powerful.
