Golden Vibes Makeup Look
I’m back on track with new makeup looks! Since I’ve moved from Europe (Luxembourg) back to Australia, I needed some time off. I had a little bit of a Jet Lag, and my husband and I are still searching for long-term accommodation.
Today’s Makeup Look is going to be a full-face photo tutorial which means that there are going to be lots of makeup steps to achieve the “Golden Vibes Makeup Look.”
Let’s not lose too much time rumbling around and get started!
Step 1: Moisturize.
Never forget to moisturize your face before you put any makeup product on your face! This is important as it will keep your skin moisturized and smooth. It can also help to avoid getting dry patches.
Using your fingers or a flat face brush will give you the best application.
Don’t forget to let it soak into the skin.
Step 2: Foundation.
Choose a foundation that matches your face and body (if you have a fake tan going on).
If you have trouble choosing the right shade of foundation, I recommend reading a short article that I’ve written:Matching Foundation
Go with a dense foundation brush or a damp makeup sponge and start dabbing the foundation into the skin. Do not use swiping motions because this can give you lines, instead use dabbing motions and have it flawless.
Step 3: Concealer.
Use a skin-toned to a slightly lighter skin-toned concealer and add this to any breakouts, scars or blemishes – only where you really need too – concealer has a higher coverage.
Also, don’t forget to conceal under your eyes – this will brighten up your under-eye area and make you look more awake.
You can blend it into the skin with a medium dense concealer brush or with the same damp sponge from your foundation.
Step 4: Concealer on Your Eyes.
If you don’t have an eye-primer or you don’t want to use it, you can use your concealer over your eyes and blend it in with your brush or sponge. This way, you’ll have an even canvas on your eyelids, and you don’t need to prime.
Step 5: Add Powder to Set.
Now, set everywhere which you have previously applied the concealer with some translucent powder. This will ensure that nothing crease or move around.
Take a medium fluffy face brush and add some powder only to the areas where you’ve used the concealer.
Step 6: Liquid Contour.
If you have problems with dry patches, opt for cream or liquid contouring! A few shades deeper than your skin tone and you’ll have a contour shade (watch out for a cool undertone).
Adding a few dots on the howls of your cheeks, forehead, and jawline will give you the right amount of product, and if you use a flat, thin eyebrow brush, you can contour your nose too.
Use a makeup sponge or foundation brush to blend it into the skin.
Step 7: Setting Spray.
To keep everything in place all day long, add some setting spray to your face and let it melt into the skin.
Step 8: Deep Black Eyeliner.
Start off by creating a sharp winged eyeliner. Using some gel eyeliner in a pot and a thin eyeliner brush might be easier for you so try it out.

Step 9: Face Paint in Gold.
If you have a cream eyeshadow in Gold (go for this one!) I used golden face paint because that’s the only one I have (;
Take a cup of water and a tiny synthetic face brush. (I initially used the end of the brush handle to get some dots and later used the brush itself – like the bristles to create dots).
Make sure that the face paint dries before you open your eye.
Step 10: Add Liner.
Go for a deep black eyeliner pencil and place this on your upper waterline to create more depth with the winged eyeliner.
Step 11: More Gold.
Add some golden eyeshadow on your lower lash line with a flat eyeshadow brush.
Step 12: Curl your Lashes.
Make use of the lash-curler that you have at home and curl your lashes for a few seconds on each side. This is perfect for people who have straight lashes.
Step 13: Add Mascara.
Add a few coats of mascara to finish your eye makeup look.
Step 14: Bronze up your face.
Add a little bit of bronzer to your face since it’s a golden vibes makeup look. Take a fluffy face brush and apply it nearly everywhere (; - just kidding!

Step 14: Add Blush
A little bit of brush never hurts the look! So, choose a rounded fluffy brush and add some pinkish/golden shimmer blush to the apples of your cheeks.
Step 15: Add Highlighter.
Of course, I went for a golden highlighter. Come on; that’s the whole vibe about the makeup look. Choose a fan or highlighting brush and apply this to the highest points of your face.
Step 16: Pinkish/nude lips.
To keep it back down to earth, I went for a pinkish/nude lip. So, at first, I canceled out my natural lip color with some concealer and blended it in with the sponge. Next, I applied the lipstick. However, to keep it a little more interesting, I added a golden stripe in the middle of my lower lip. I used the same golden face paint from before.
So, I believe that’s it for today’s makeup tutorial, and I hope you enjoyed reading it!
xoxo, Melissa
