The fires of creation hiss and pop in a future steem collaboration
The car's odometer now reads 25,337. It's a very unremarkable number. Where do you separate the remarkable, from the unremarkable, though?
An Adelaide Steem meet up, and another return to the location where I spent my nights, sometimes devoid of adequate sleep; is definitely remarkable.
Especially when something new happens, when something is planned; and documented, discussed, and enthusiastically positive.
I don't speak of the fact that we managed to get a bunch of Steemians into a room to have a conversation filled with awkward silence and small talk. I instead speak of consistently intelligent, and profound people, in the presence of overflowing conversation and an enduring disrespect for the timekeeper.
I make no apologies for the difficulty in comprehending my prose tonight, this is written for the audience of me. (And those unfortunate tragics that read this far down.)
A crackling, popping fire was the backdrop for a particularly productive conversation between @wildflowerjessi, @stuffing, @shaidon, and myself, @holoz0r. We spoke about @wildflowerjessi's recent crash course in film, about art, expression, chaos, simulation in video games, programming, and started work on the beginnings of something.
Nine words formed the basis of this future something, whatever it will be. (We're thinking moving picture!)
Those nine words: wildness, anxiety, maternity (or paternity), ephemerality, fragility, order, energy, violence, chaos.
The three creative drivers Jessi, @stuffing, and myself, are going to, in preparation of the next Steem meet, contemplate on these words, themes, expressions, and start to piece together a narrative.
A narrative that will be told in pictures, colour, and probably sound, too. A collaborative narrative, exploring evocative, obscure, intertwined themes that would not be possible without the Steem blockchain.
We'd have never met if it wasn't for that little detail.
Stay tuned for more on this project as it develops. Steem gave us all a way to connect, and as a collaborative force, we'll see what it gives our creative spirits.

Sounds exciting. And I presume this is one of the advantages of real life connections, cos you guys have regular meet-ups. It's much easier to bounce ideas off each other in real life than over discord.
It was a great night, and I said to @mattclarke that connections like this are rather priceless. Different people, with different skill sets, different viewpoints coming together to share ideas and come up with something unique, new and special.
This sounds like a really fun opportunity to collaborate. This is the downside sometimes of being in such a small town.
The upsides of being in a city (we're just over a million people) - there are fascinating, inspiring facades everywhere - whether they're "marble" columns, or cosmetics applied liberally to a face. :)
Wherever humans gather there's a downside, but rarely; there's an upside - collaboration, connection, and conjecture. It felt like a truly organic, creative discussion, and I can't wait to work with jessi and stuffing on this project!
I thought we'd all be smashing beers and talking lambos; but this works too :)
It's amazing how Steem brings together people and what wonderful creative results occur. I can't wait to see what comes form this campfire confab.
