Penny reviews: Episode 4; Banana OG Solventless Extract

This week I have a very special treat! Also a Brand new Evolve Plus XL from Youcan to try out! They finally got one in pink!!!

So I have been drooling over this Solventless Extract for a few months and finally pulled the trigger on one of my more favorite strains of indica. Having smoked a few different kinds of extract from the amazing folks over at Essential Extracts in Boulder CO, I was fairly sure I was in for a rare treat. I purchase there fine products from The Station, also in Boulder CO. Love them both and highly recommend a visit when your in town.

So before we get into the long and short of it a quick mention of the method by which I smoke. I use an Evolve Plus XL 4 coil electric wax smoker. Having gone through a fair number of these electric coil smokers I have to say there four coil chambers alongside their mammoth batteries and awesome hidden backup wax chamber, youcan has made one hell of a product. I find it's absolutely perfect for everyday smoking and pop in a new coil, your good to go for an in depth review.

Now that we have covered that neat bit of tech, lets take a look at the star of the review "Banana OG"

So when you pop the top on this strain you first notice that unlike most extracts this one is grainy to the eye, and very solid to the touch. They use a quick freeze method of extraction and in order to keep this usable it needs to remain refrigerated at all times, not really a big hassle, well worth the trouble! It loads onto the coils just fine. I use a standered tool from Youcan, its pictured in the first photo.

As predicted this smoked like a dream, it opens with a very pine taste that quickly turns to chard and cut grass. The exhale is all banana and rocky mountain forest. Lots of pine and damp earth. Very smooth but did have a little cough in it. Wonderful all around though.

Completely recommend this wonderful extract! The high is all body and light. Wonderful right before bed smoke! Just let me relax into it and feel all floaty and grand, plus no solvent means its all plant and no chem which is a big deal to me. Absolutely amazing!!
