Discord and Markdown

Markdown is a simple language that allows you to format your Steem Posts. If you want to learn more about what Markdown commands you can use on Steemit.com and Busy.org, check my FREE online course called Steem Skills.

Just a few moments ago I realized that Discord Servers accpet a few Markdown commands.

The following are a few of the Markdown commands you can use on Discord:

  • *italics* = italics
  • **bold** = bold =
  • __underline__ = underline (this command shows as bold in Steem interfaces)
  • ~~strikethrough~~ = strikethrough
  • This is a single line code block = `This is a single line code block`

    Yes, I have used basic Markdown on some of my posts.
    No, I have not used it on Discord. I do not post there alot and usually just questions.

    Markdown is a great tool. It definitely have used it more on Steem Posts. I used it a bit yesterday because I was trying to format the guidelines and info channels of a Discord server that I have started. You are correct. Probably not as useful for quick questions and answers.
