Handmade And Hand Painted Pottery
Last week I skipped #MarketFriday, let's say I took a break. Today on the other hand I am posting an entry. I thought handmade and hand painted pottery would be good for this occasion.
Let's start with two plates, one big and the other smaller, judging from the price, it's half. The big on in the middle is 400 RON (96 USD), the other one is 200 RON (48 USD). Most of these products are decorated with birds, flowers, hearts and different other patterns.
Similar plates were used by common people on a daily bases years ago and maybe you can still be served in these if you go to a rustic inn somewhere at the countryside. These plates are only for decorative purposes now. I don't think someone would use them at those prices.
These jugs with string were very cute. The grapes on the jug indicate that it's for wine but you can use it for more stronger beverages or even water.
These were not cheap either, 100 Ron/ piece, 24 USD.
You could decorate your whole kitchen with these products as you can find everything here, from plates to jugs, mugs and wooden utensils you need.
These were interesting, I've never seen them before. A horseshoe and a bell tied together with a string. I don't see the purpose though. Horseshoe means luck, that is used all over the countryside but the real one. This one with the bell is strange. I should have asked the vendor what is it for. Maybe next time I'll pay more attention.
Beautiful. I particularly like the second one and the green plate on the right hand side of picture 5. Similar pottery is sold around here. Perhaps, I'll venture out with my camera one day.
Thank you @akiroq! You should go take some photos and post it on Market Friday. People love to see things from all around the world. Thank you for stopping by, I'm heading over to your blog to pay you a visit :)
