A Steem-Powered Guestbook [Opening @exhibition to the NYC Public this Summer]
A Digital Guestbook [Powered By Steem]
Our team has been hard at work this month designing and coordinating with fabricators for our very first exhibition in New York City!
As a unique feature of the show, we will be incorporating the @exhibition account directly into "The Crypto Renaissance" exhibition next month! The account will be LIVE (using Steemit.com) within the gallery and available for visitors to interact directly with through a touch screen. Our hope is that the account becomes a kind of Steem-Powered Guestbook for gallery visitors to engage the Steem blockchain and learn more about it. Each visitor will be given an introduction to Steem and through @exhibition they'll be able to post thoughts, ideas, comment, upvote or simply explore around.
Free Steem Accounts for Exhibition Visitors
Alongside the guestbook, our team @sndbox will also be offering free accounts for attendees of the show. This will be a big opportunity to directly onboard new users within a blockchain savvy region of Brooklyn. We will have more announcements on this effort, and a schedule of crypto-workshops coming very soon.
With this exhibition, we're seeking to showcase not just the work developed by Cohort 1 of the Sndbox incubator, but also the incredible Steem-powered apps that we all use on a daily basis. This show will be free and open to the public and - we hope - a new kind of interface for the broader NYC area to learn more about blockchain as a whole. Entry tickets don't cost hundreds of dollars, and we're not giving away cars. This show is free, and focused on the blockchain tools we use and tools that others can use right now.
Rewards earned through @exhibition will go towards creating new accounts for exhibition participants and funding a variety of public workshops.
How You Can Take Part!
There are a LOT of ways to support The Crypto Renaissance. Make sure you keep tabs on the @exhibition account, especially once the show opens on Friday, July 20th. Guests will be using the account to say hi, so make sure to give these New Yorkers a warm welcome!
@sndbox has invested $5,000 USD for the rental of the actual space. Our team will be fundraising over the next month seeking to raise 10,000 SBD to pay for the expenses of the gallery rent, insurance, exhibit materials, Steem account creation and workshop programming. Any SBD donations to @sndbox will go directly to the benefit of the exhibition.
In order to fundraise and celebrate our supporters, we have a "DONOR WALL" where Steemians can donate SBD in exchange for a customized artwork of your profile picture and your Steem Username. This IRL WALL will become a collage of faces and contributors and will be installed in the very front of the gallery.

EXHIBITION is a rotating community account to be used for events, galleries, workshops, marketing, presentations, and meetups. Created by the @sndbox incubator, this project aims is to empower temporary creative and social efforts within the Steem ecosystem through an account that anyone can request to access for the support of short-term initiatives.
