Opinion: Stock-market investors, it’s time to hear the ugly truth
The naysayers are often wrong and do nothing more than cry over spilled milk.
This time, however, they could be the ones on the money.
Over the past few years many stated how the markets were not reaching new highs due to organic growth. Instead, it was the easy money of the Fed along with the jawboning of the Central Bank.
Markets around the world are reacting the same way. With the ending of the easing by central banks, markets are taking a hit. The United States was insulated a bit in 2016 and 2017 with other banks such as the ECB doing the heavy lifting.
