New rules of Football
I wrote about the new head-to-head rule in the English Premier League in my previous posts, this time around I want to write about the new rules in football as a whole. I like to watch football at the viewing center, there are lot of banters to dish there, but I must say the most annoying thing is to watch people argue blindly.
People arguing about yellow cards, red cards, fouls, penalty calls about others. It is always good to familiarize oneself with the new rules, so as not to be surprised or argue off point when the league starts.
Cards
There will be no more verbal warning for coaches, they will automatically receive yellow or red cards.
Penalties
Each of the penalties, if at the moment of being shot is stopped by the goalkeeper or it hits the post, the play stops and will restart with a goal kick. This means no more rebound.
Handballs inside the area
Any goal that is scored with the hand, if detected the goal will not count for any reason. Also if there is a handball inside the area it will not count whether it is done voluntarily or not, it is a penalty.
Free-kicks
The players from the attacking team that want to be in the barrier will now have to be one meter behind the barrier.
Referees
If the ball hits the referee, the play is over and it will resume with the referee throwing the ball and letting it bounce for the game to continue.
Substitutions
The players won’t have to exit the field only through the middle of the field, they can leave the field through any side of the field. Especially the closest one to the player’s location.
Goalkick
When the goalkeeper kicks the ball, it can be played inside the area.
Now let us be guided while watching football, the rules has changed. The league is upon us!
