Well, 15 cm^2 if "grey square" means the darker, larger squares. But there are small grey squares too, and there are 16 of those per larger unit, so that would be 240 cm^2.
But the "1cm" guides actually match up with neither set of grid lines; it would be best if the arrow was exactly 1cm long, for technical communication.
