The Truth about Buddhism’s Meditation

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique, such as focusing their mind on a particular object, thought or activity, to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm state.

For many years, in Buddhism culture, Buddhists practice meditation for the purpose of distressing, calming the mind/soul and achieving a peaceful state. The Buddhist believe that meditation can greatly improve their body’s mind, soul and well being.

However, I would like to reveal the truth about meditation that has been passed on down by the Imperial Regent of the Lord, Angelus Domini.

Quote from the Imperial Regent: “When they sit under tree and contemplate the universe all of their life, one day they realize that they are very old and about to die, and they have nothing to show for their life; they have no great achievements to look back upon, and they have nothing to hand down to the next generation other than what they observed while sitting under a tree... This is why RayEl is not a Buddhist, and why he is not a fan of meditation... He believes that every moment of life is precious, and that life is meant to be lived to the fullest.”

In my life, I also firmly believe that the body doesn’t necessarily require meditation to achieve the peace and tranquillity state contrary to the popular belief from the majority Buddhist about meditation. We can always apply and practice meditation in another form of more meaningful ways. For example: walking in a park, taking a stroll at a garden, hiking at a beautiful hill, enjoying the sound of the nature, appreciate the beauty of the sky, appreciate the night sky, appreciate the sight of the sun, appreciate the sight of the moon, appreciate the movement of the sea wave, appreciate the colour of the trees/plants/flowers, enjoying the sight of a waterfall/river/lake or enjoying the nature fresh air.

These activities I believe is truly more meaningful, positive and healthier way to practice meditation or mindfulness. You don’t require to sit under the trees in an unchanged position for long hours or sitting in one position for long hours at another place just for the purpose to experience meditation.

By appreciating the mother nature’s beauty, it allows you to cultivate the virtue of mindfulness, thoughtful and gratefulness. And the appreciation for mother nature allows you to distress your mind naturally and soothing your eye with nature’s beautiful colours. Therefore, this helps to bring in a lot of positive energy to your mind and soul without the needs to sit down at one unchanged position for long hours.

On top of that, by walking to get close to nature, it is also healthier because you get to let your body be more active. So, it allows you to practice mindfulness in a healthier way.

The common meditation beliefs might be practice by many Buddhist. But you don’t need to follow it just because the majority of people perceive it that way. When we have discovered the truth, we can always change our way how we perceive meditation and practice it differently to gain the best positive outcome from it to live your life to the fullest.

I guess it's good that I can never quiet my mind or stick with meditation when I start it if the Lord disapproves of it. Nature would be nice, though.

Thanks for this, I actually didn't know the Lord's take on meditation. Nature is so beautiful, I miss being able to spend that time in it.

I love to meditate and go into a deep thought process.

There are many other ways to de-stress and calm the mind

I'm glad to hear the Lords perspective on meditation. I also like to stay active and have a hard time just sitting around doing nothing!
