For The Times We Feel Like A Candle In The WindsteemCreated with Sketch.

Beginning with this post and all my post for the remainder of 2017, 50% of all post payouts will go to my 'Dog's Best Friend', Food And Medical Initiative here on Steemit, for @rhondak, an animal rescuer, and advocate for animal rights.

There may be seasons where we may experience a life of just going through one thing after another.

These are the days when we face the world with a smile and give others maybe 20% of our attention while inwardly we struggle with a storm of overwhelming circumstances.

We struggle to hold on to reality, to hold on to our sanity.
We struggle to fill the dark empty void that haunts us deeply. And too we struggle to find shelter, a ground, some type of security from the storm.
We may even struggle to feel something because we have fallen to a place where we can’t feel anything.

During these times we often find ourselves alone, either because we push others away or we give off this vibe that causes people to avoid us. The loneliness can sometimes be even more disturbing than the issue we face, which leaves us feeling like a candle in the wind.

I know I have been in this season many times, yet through all of them I can hear my mother’s voice saying, “trouble don’t last always, you will get through this.” Her voice has been my anchor to pull me up and out of many challenging times.

During the trying times we may also experience indifference from others, maybe because they have watched us fall, screw up royally, make the same mistakes again and again, and they show us little sympathy.

I encourage all that are going through something, no matter what it is, or how long you have been going through, ….be encouraged. If you are still alive you have a chance to bounce back. I encourage you to fight your way back if you have to.

Don’t look to depend on others during this time. This is a time of growth, depend on your own strength. You have the strength, dig deep and find it.
You may think you do not have the willpower, but you do. Go through the motions, cry, fall down, get back up, have a dance party, even if you have to dance alone my friend, just do it.

Once you start making an effort, help will come, It may be coming now in the form of this post.
Please don’t give up!

And when you find yourself feeling stronger, when you see that first spark of light again; get a pen and paper and write down your feelings. Write down what you know you need to do to get beyond this situation.
During this time ask the questions that need to be asked. Sit in silence as you wait for the answers. Pray, meditate or find someone to listen and/or be your sounding board.
The day will come when you are even stronger. At this time you must do the work it takes to make it back to wholeness and back to a whole new life.
You choose your path, you write your own story and create the life you want. And know that it does not cost you anything to dream.

This is a great thing you are doing, supporting a very worthy cause and a lovely lady's mission to care for lost, neglected and damaged animals in her area. It is heart warming to know that people such as yourself exist. To think you only joined The Writers' Block a few short days ago - it goes to show what a wonderful lady @rhondak is and how much we all believe in her rescue.

Beautiful inspiring words too.

Thank You so much @gmuxx. I just finished crying over her @rhondak 's new arrival of puppies. It is my goal to donate cryptocurrency and donate 50lbs of Pedigree dog food twice a month. I am spreading the word for Steemians to get on board and help. Yes, @rhondak is a lovely lady with an incredible big heart and I am humbled she allowed me to be a part of the giving and the love.

I just can't tell you much I appreciate this, or how stunning it is for me to have so much support from people like you, after five years of living with pure hatred from the very community I've tried to help. God bless you.

Every word of this is so true. I finally learned, after decades of scrabbling to find acceptance and validation from others, to find it in myself first, and that being alone isn't always a form of punishment. I'm a better person for these realizations, and finally have something to offer others as a result.

Dont be afraid to get professional help. Its a strength to seek the help and never a weakness. It is always tough though this time of the year
