MY PRESENTATION AT THE FIRST FUNAAB (ABEOKUTA) MEET-UP

This is a video showing me presenting on steemit to members of the steemit funaab team. It was our first ever steemit meetup, earlier we had always talked and discussed on the WhatsApp group alone.

LECTURE POINTS
I highlighted the difference of steemit to other blogging sites like the Google blog (Blogspot) as it been free to create and does not require a lot of technical expertise except some formatting. I also gave the acronym blog and earn.

I went on to emphasize the importance of socialization to every community of which steemit is not an exception

I explained the steem currencies; steem , sbd, and steempower briefly. I also added that three are not only the currencies of the steemit network, RELATIONSHIP is also a currency. Also did justice to upvoting and payouts/payouts option.

A member of the team, @adetola explained the posting and posting related activities (formatting and plagiarism) aspect of steemit, while @rharphelle talked about tags and introduce yourself post. We had two new members who also registered on steemit.

Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta is one of the largest university in the southwest zone of Nigeria with approximately 15,000 students. The school is endowed with many creative and wonderful writers who surely has one or more ideas, gifts and articles to share to the community and improve the community. Their are many writers group in FUNAAB (like passion polis) which will believe if we invite them to the community will benefit the community. Artists (music and arts) are also not left out. This meetup was just a foundation to our goals.

The meetup was just a meeting to decide on a larger steemit promotion meetup we planned to organize. The programme seems to harvest students of FUNAAB into the steemit community and also enlightened them on what the steemit community is about. Subsequently, we communicate our progress.
The meet-up was organized by me, @adetola, @rharphelle and @addempsea. Eleven of us were in attendance due to the fact some of us had went for the season break.
