Please Not This Again

I really don't know who the muppet was that told orange man to try blame gun violence on video games, there is absolutely no evidence to support such an assumption. To be honest I think it's one of those cases where a speech writer probably thought this was a good angle to go for, which will now horribly backfire. I personally think there is a much deeper issue as to why anyone would go to the extreme of committing mass murder. It's really comprehensible to me, and I think it's dangerous to ever blame the actions of an individual on a statement someone somewhere has made. The onus is on the person taking action, but at the same time people in power should be careful of evoking mass hysteria. The problem is we know this is happening, it's basically the bread and butter of politicians and the media.

I would say both sides of the political isle are guilty of doing this, but I undoubtedly see far more hysteria drummed up by the left. If we look at orange man, are the things he says evoking mass hysteria, actually no, it's the interpretations of the leftist media that does that. Did he call all Mexicans rapists, no, in context it was about 80% of women being raped by people on their journey while illegally crossing the boarder. But what happened, the media used it out of context, because it's about getting more viewers. Now compare that to saying orange man is literally Hitler, and has concentration camps along the boarder, or because of him the world will end in 12 years. If you keep telling people that your opposition is literally one of the worst people in history and keep saying he needs to be removed from office by any means necessary, some is gonna end up doing something stupid.
