From a slave to a master chapter # 43 - The key of Truth, canonic principles

By now you are saturated with the intense belief in Realization (true-love) and you passionately desire to create it for yourself. Now you turn to comply with the third demand that Framework 2 presents to you. Soon you will be able to open the gate and pace the promising path towards your I Am self. But first, as you already know, there is some inner work to complete. You are not required to execute a complex physical chore. You are neither expected to travel to a physical location nor should you follow some mind-exercises or imagination drills.

The third key is the Truth key.

It seems that in our contemporary world it has become impossible to adhere to the truth and to abstain from lying. It appears that we need to lie from time to time just to survive, to conceal the real situation of our lives or to beautify it while we ignore what is veridical and appropriate.

However, it cannot be said more distinctly – to get into the kingdom of love without allegiance to the truth, as a sole precept in your personal lives, would be impossible. Your prince charming will not be able to arrive or remain if you are not fully truthful with yourselves and with your associates. The Key of truth bears on a truthful conduct in its simplest and clearest meaning as it is displayed in the day-to-day life: your neighbor asks for two eggs and a cup of sugar but you lie and say that you ran out of those – the key of truth becomes farther away from you; Your wife calls you and you tell her that you will be home late because the extra work that you have while the actual reason is that you are having an affair – the key of truth moves away from you; Your boyfriend asks for the reason you didn’t answer his calls last evening and you say you were sleeping while in reality you were going out with friends but didn’t want to upset him by telling that – you are lying and sabotaging the possibility for your relationship to become a True-Love one; Your girlfriend confronts you with the ultimate question: “Do you love me?”, and you answer affirmatively only because you are afraid to lose her while in reality you are rattling confused and not sure – you lied and just lost her. The dire aftermath will not be late to arrive.

Humans are gifted with the inherent intuition to detect liars and to know if/when they are being lied to. That applies mostly to the things that we consider near and dear. Therefore, dishonesty is one of the most inappropriate deeds that humans can conduct. Our interlocutor may never throw at us the fact that we lie, but they will know it and will distrust us more next time we meet. This way of misconduct has caused many friendships to collapse and business empires to go bankrupt.

Some of us even go further with the lies to commit fraudulent acts that break the law. Such acts can be false reports to the tax authorities or fishy business transactions whose illegitimacy is not debated. Apart from the immorality of such civic act, it is important to remember that in order to allow realization into your life you must be truthful with everybody, including the states monetary laws. Not because you are patriots, but because when you lie to the world you state that you do not trust yourself!

Some people have chosen a profession that inherently demands them to bypass the truth or avoid it altogether. For instance, if you are an attorney and you know that your client has murdered the victim, what shall you do in court? The ethical laws of your profession demand you to defend that victim as if he was innocent. That, of course, will necessitate a dishonorable finagling of the case before the court on your part and a continuous prevarication even to yourself as well. And again it should be remembered that such dishonesty will soon invade the personal relationships that you are conducting with others/yourself and will greatly undermine it while still keeping the key of truth out of your reach.

Many civil servants and politicians in particular regularly find themselves in ostensibly impossible situations in which they must choose between averring a truth that might risk their popularity and lying or twisting the truth in order to enjoy some more of the power and affection that popularity bestows on them. Lower or medium rank employees cannot exempt themselves with the excuse that their lies hurt no one. If you return late from your lunch break and use a lie to reason your delay, you still make a choice to stay away from the truth and consequently from realization, regardless the minor effect that your lie may have on the company.

Little Lies

They allow us to remove off our shoulders the pressure that other humans and the society, in general, put on us. In commerce, lies also allow us to attain numerous materialistic benefits. Businesses that operate under tremendous competition may use lies to conceal the firm situation from the public and from their competitors. A company’s owner, for instance, who just discovered serious embezzlement, might do anything he can to prevent that news from being known to the public so potential fall-down in the rate of the company’s stocks could be hindered. Such delay may enable him to sell a large portion of the stocks he holds to save his own fortune.

The temptation to lie is as great at least as the potential gain that we expect to win. However, what we are normally incapable to grasp is the fact that it is a profit for short term. We do not see the connection between the lie we just made and the problematic event that will occur to us at a later stage in life. For instance, a woman who has cheated on her husband for many years and hides that secret from him might cause by her inappropriate deeds to the happening of some desperate tragedies such as behavioral problems of her children at school, a gain of excessive weight, financial disasters and serious physical illnesses. The connection between moral living and life-circumstances is axiomatic.

The Other World

Some of you may ask what adhering to the truth has to do with successful relationships. The answer would be simple if we remembered that I am not merely talking about success in relationships but about allowing realization and being in a true-love state of consciousness. Both rest in a different world which is governed by distinctive laws. One of the more beautiful characters of such world is the exceptional sensitivity of its inhabitants which is accompanied by the priceless skill to “read people”. This reading is sometimes carried out as an extremely and effective intuition or as an ability to literally read people’s thoughts. Therefore, once you begin to move around inside that kingdom you will interact with those gentle and sensitive people who live there. As a rule, it will not be permitted to hurt them and therefore the energy structure there inherently disdains any pattern of dishonesty, whether in thought or in action. This fact alone makes the key of truth so invaluable for those who seek Realization.

Indeed, at first it is not easy to express the truth, always and with everyone, especially if you were brought up in a social system that required manipulations and deceiving as a means to survive. The inner work that is required to quit lying and cheating and exclusively adhering to the truth may last a significant period of time but you should remember that your work can always be executed concurrently. That means you can work towards Realization concurrently with working on your allegiance to the truth.
