Metaphor Corner - Prose: West Commuters

Hi Steemers. I'm starting the Metaphor Corner. It's a fun pot for writers. All you gotta do is write something interpretive. It could be short, long, poetry or prose, visual or audio (thought the latter would be quite a challenge).

In the comments I expect to see all sorts of literacy majors and linguistic aficionados deeply analyse the content - or - maybe anyone with an opinion. But please, give it some thought.

Now on to the actual piece.

West Commuters.

I don't want to be too specific for fear of fragmenting the big picture. The west commuters are blinded by the setting sun. Obviously, your appreciation is already too late by the time you notice it’s rays, it was already taken for granted. All the while one person, you, have been devising ways of being. Finalizing on the repetition of certain actions. When these choices become habits, the habits make character - the person they see based on the things you've been up to lately. What we see as character is just your pretension, cuz after winning the spotlight, there's nowhere to go, so the act is dropped. You revert to the truth and take a place among the rest of us. While hoping the west commuters are all blinded by your setting sun. As you were blinded by the last, the last person you had not even noticed, before a new sunrise.
