Anyone putting their trust in any service or product associated with Google, will end up disappointed at the least, and pretty much screwed at the most, in some cases. Google's entire history of existence is clear. Everything they do is on a completely temporary basis, regardless of what they say up front. When they decide, out of the blue, to end whatever Google service or product, it will either result in a minor inconvenience for you, or all the way up to a major fail for whatever purpose you depended on the service or product, illustrating their blatant disregard for their customers. GMail is about the only thing they haven't done this with - yet.

I have never in my life seen a company such as Google, that repeatedly goes through this same cycle of 1. Announcement, 2. Introduction to the market, and 3. Short lifespan of service or product, always ending suddenly, without much warning, and without offering an alternative. Any other company with a proven record of such behavior would fail before they even got started. I really don't understand how they remain relevant and popular. And I was an original Google fanboy.
