Virat Kohli leaves Hashim Amla behind to become fastest to score 16,000 international runs and 52 tons
Indian skipper Virat Kohli is on a record-breaking spree and on Saturday – the first day of the third Test against Sri Lanka, on his home ground, in Delhi, he broke one more of Coming to bat with 15,961 runs to his name, Kohli scored another century – his 20th in Tests to surpass South Africa’s Hashim Amla to become fastest to score 16,000 international runs across formats.
Kohli took 350 innings to reach the milestone while Amla had taken 363 innings to reach the same. With the century, Kohli also completed 5,000 runs in Test cricket.
