What is crypto-Mining ?

Mining is the process of solving tough calculation . There are programs that solve these calculation but they need so much hardware power. Some hardware are CPU,ASIC & GPU miner. When a block of transaction is generated, miners put it through a process, which apply a complex mathematical formula to the information in the block, during confirming process, miners obtain corresponding rewards according to the proportion of POW(proof of work).

Types of hardware:-

  1. 1. Graphic cards:-

GPU is used to perform & control the rendering of visual effects & 3D-graphics ,it take care of graphic-intensive tasks such as video editing, gaming & decoding and rendering of 3D videos & animations. GPU based mining, which offered multiple benefits over the use of CPU. A normal GPU has clock processing speed of executing 3200 32-bit instruction per clock, which was 800 times more than the speed of CPU.

Some of the best GPU hardware are:-

A. Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070:-

The NVidia GeForce GTX 1070 features 8GB GDDR5 Memory with the core clocked at 1,506 MHz This unit requires 150W and will provide you with a good balance of power vs hash rate. It’s capable of delivering 30mh/s without consuming too much power.

B. AMD Radeon RX580:-

The AMD Radeon RX580 is one of the most popular mining GPU of all time. This unit features a 1,257 clock speed with 8GB of GDDR5 memory. It draws 185W of power during use. You are capable of 29mh/s with this GPU.

C. NVidia GeForce GTX 1060:-

The NVidia GeForce GTX 1060 is the latest addition to NVidia’s impressive line of GPUs. The unit features a core clock speed of 1,506MHz with 6GB GDDR5. The low power (120w) consumption of this unit and its affordable price point make this a smart buy for new miners.

D. AMD Radeon RX Vega 56:-

The AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 delivers excellent mining performance due to its 1,156MHz core clock speed. This unit comes equipped with 8GB HBM2 memory that adds to the capabilities of this miner. The AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 uses 210W when in operation, so it’s ideally used in a location with cheaper electricity costs.

E. NVidia GTX 1080 Ti:-

The NVidia GTX 1080 Ti offers you a more powerful option to consider. This unit is capable of 35mh/s – 40mh/s with a core clock speed of 1,480. This miner includes 11GB GDDR5X memory. All of this added power comes at a trade-off in electricity as this unit draws 250W.

F. AMD Radeon RX 570:-

The 4GB Radeon RX 570, gives between 26 MH/s using Claymore Dual ETH miner.

2. Asic Miners:-

ASICs allow miners to use hardware made specifically for Bitcoin Core or other SHA-256 algo coins. An ASIC has benefits over CPU & GPU due to being designed for one specific task. They are able to mine BTC at a higher hash rate (speed of processing transactions) than CPUs & GPUs Several manufacturers produce their own ASIC chips and miners.

Some of the best Asic miners are:-

A. Antminer S9:-

The Antminer S9 is one of the most popular ASIC mining devices out there and other mining hardware is often benchmarked against it. The S9 is also generally considered to be the most energy-efficient miner on the market today. Bitmain regularly improves the specs of S9 units, so if you buy second-hand, make sure to check the exact hash power offered. The most recent units due to be shipped out in March 2018 offer an optimal hash rate of 13.5TH/s.

B. Antminer S7:-

Although the S7's hash power is only around a third that of the S9, due to the lower cost and the fact that many second-hand units come with a PSU pre-bundled, you may see a faster return on your investment than with the S9. The S7 may also generate less heat and noise than the S9. The optimal harsh rate is around 4.73TH/s.

C. Avalon Miner 761:-

The AvalonMiner 761 supports cluster mining via a specialist AUC3 'Avalon Miner Controller', based on the Raspberry Pi, which can support up to six devices. For instance, four AUC3 devices could each connect to five Avalon Miners allowing you to manage 20 Avalon Miner 761 units with a staggering combined hash power of 176TH/s.

D. WhatsMiner M3:-

The hash rate is slightly less than the Antminer S9, this unit is far cheaper, meaning you could see a return on your investment in around the same time. While the device draws a lot of power, according to a detailed review on the Bitcointalk Forum, the M3's built-in fans dissipate the heat quickly and it's no noisier than comparable miners like the S9. The bundled PSU is also extremely efficient. The optimal hash rate is 12.5TH/s.

So Whats your opinion about this hardwares ?

Are you using one of them ?

Great information for all...

Mining has become loss business as i mine myself

Great, I need one for myself

Go for gpu mining its cost effective

Thanks for info, will definitely try that

graat info for hardware technology .
am also a it engineer so i am very like too this post

I have NVIDIA GeForce graphics card its storage is 2gb is it sufficient for mining?

You can mine low difficulty coins

Crypto mining demands a lot of investment but give back great return too
