Vector Robot : Robot with Life

Researches have been going for years to make lifelike, humanoid robots and that's going to inhabit our world someday. Finally a US-based robotics company Anki has made Vector, a robot with 'soul'.

Vector is a small home robot with a robotic assistant, that has all the functionalities that we can except. It can answer all questions, play games, give weather updates and can even click photographs. The company says that more functionality will be added in future.

We can except these features in a robot. But its very interesting to see how he does it, that makes him outstanding. We have seen dogs get excited when we come back home. Vector is pretty much the same, except he is not a dog. It remembers faces and names, can dance to music, responds to touch like an animal and genuinely enjoy social interactions.

It can speak and can communicate not only by using speech but also uses its body language and emotive expressions on its screen too.

Above all, he has a very interesting feature, that he quite self-aware, and can sense his own mood if he feels worn out, he will go and charge himself.

This seems to be very interesting to me.
