Tropical Park-Dog Park

Recently, I have taken my 2 dogs, Pearl(Black Schnauzer) and Linda(Tan Pekinese) to the Tropical Park;Dog Park. Its in Miami. Between SW 40th St(Bird Road) and SW 56 St(Miller Drive), just west of the 826(Palmetto Expressway). Its an unleashed area of the park, for dogs to run around with other dogs freely. There are 2 sections to the park. One for dogs under 35 lbs. and one for dogs over 35 lbs.

Both my my dogs are under 35 lbs, so I went into the first section for smaller dogs. It was a lot of joy to see both my dogs running around with other dogs. Pearl had a real blast, since she is a very active dog anyways. Linda basically stayed by me and my wife the whole time, partly because she is shy, but also because she is a small Pekinese dog, barely 8 lbs. anyways. Some puppy;s were double her weight. There are ramps, 1-2 ft pole jumps, metal sqaures; all to run around and play in or on., and for possible dog training. But one thing, dog owner's might really like, is that they have a doggie water fountain. Its only about 6 inches off the ground. I press a button, and down by my feet, is this water fountain. Pearl, who was running around a lot, got very thirsty and was panting, really enjoyed the cool water coming out of the fountain.

So anyone in the SW Miami-Dade area, who has dogs as Pets, might want to take their dog/s to the Tropical Park;Dog Park. They will have a lot of fun. And so will you, You might see some really cute and interesting breeds of dogs, and people for that matter. And make a friend or 2 their while petting and talking about dogs. Best of all, it was free, and the parking is free. So its a real bang for the dollar. NO BONES ABOUT IT.
