Junk is still junk... Except that probably most of them aren't 😛 now the story kinda reminds me of a game "Black The Fall" which you play as an old machinist trying to escape from a bleak country. The environment is you described almost exactly fits the game's atmosphere. He also has a robot companion that kinda destroyed the game's logic on physics 😂
Most can only dream in the dark...Sloan is a unique one.

Single player platformer puzzle game, and regarding physics... It could withstand tons of force with just thin and tiny legs, block steam that would kill you by just standing near it, will not get damaged even if an enemy missile hit it, etc etc etc... It's a little funny when I recall, but an interesting game in overall. Plus, I got it for free (from a giveaway) :P
