Centralized Vs Decentralized Social Media Platform
We know what can do a Centralized version of Social media platform. They have all the authority to collect your data, use your data, approve your content, disapprove your content. Moreover, They can punish you any time. Facebook is the biggest and most popular social network. Recently, the Facebook face was exposed to the world. Suddenly, Facebook started to behave they are the protector of your data and privacy.

On the other hand, We have some decentralized social media platform like Steemit. I am fortunate enough to know steemit earlier. You do not need any private information to open an account in Steemit. You do not need to provide your identity. You do not need to provide your interest, likes, dislikes in Steemit.
Moreover, Steemit does not collect or use your data to generate revenue. Interestingly, Steemit pays you for your content whereas other established social media does not give you anything.
Which one should we select?
Of course, Steemit or similar platform operates as the same principles as steemit. Because in Steemit -
- You do not need to provide personal information
- You are safe and secure in this platform
- You will not see any unwanted ad
- No censorship - But you need to follow some basic ethical guidelines
- You will be rewarded with Cryptocurrency in Steemit. Facebook gives you Big Zero

You need to build a great platform to compete with the big boss. You need to have all the feature big centralized platform already has.
obviously Decentralized platform is the first choice. Transparency is important.
Facebook is powerful. It has more than billion active user monthly. You need to be best to compete with centralized platform like Facebook
