What is the point of living?

 

The TV represents your body. It is material and vulnerable. It breaks easy and at the end will be broken and dead like this TV.

So why go on living if the end is predetermined?

This question entails a fallacy. If you can spot it.

It presupposes that the life, in the middle so to speak, is not important. It is a thinking that is symptomatic of a society that emphasizes the end of things. Like getting paid or being rewarded for something that one has done.

But such a thinking does not reflect the way nature works, and cannot grasp the meaning of life, for the meaning is not in the end, but in its continuation. Life means living. The end, dying is the end of life.

It was the purpose of the TV to send out signals so you can watch them or to put it in other words, watching the TV was the purpose of having one. In the same way, the meaning of life is only felt within a living state, not in a dead state.
