In the interest of maintaining a quality community where we can uphold the values it was named after, we have decided to lay out some guidelines to adhere to when participating and being a part of this community.

They are surprisingly simple, and designed to be fair to everyone.

The Rules

• Peace:
  When dealing with others on either Steemit.com or especially the Discord server, strive for a peaceful co-existence with your fellow members. This means to avoid needless conflict, avoiding behaviour that might incite violence or aggressive behavior to others. This means to de-escalate any confrontation you can, or to walk away from any that you can't. There is literally zero need to escalate an issue among members, and you have Moderators who are there to step in, should the need arise.

• Abundance:
  This means to share equally the services and tools that have been offered to help all the minnows. To this end, we have some simple rules specifically for the free upvote bots available through Discord.

  • You may only have 1 Discord account registered per person. This will prevent any abuse of multiple accounts to get around the 12 hour cooldown.
  • Any method used to circumvent the 12 hour cooldown on the $upvote command will result in action by the Moderators.
    We can and will blacklist accounts from receiving the minnowsupport upvotes, if necessary.

• Liberty:
  This can mean many things. We all are here because of a love of crypto, the blockchain, and in general liberty as a concept. Consider at all times that you do not get to make choices for others, and that beyond some basic guidelines to follow when participating in this community, you do not get to decide what they do while here.

  There are many cultures and personalities at play here, and they must be able to mingle as easily as possible. Get to know your fellow Steemians, as we are all human. Learn the differences, and accept them for what they are. Accept your fellow members for who they are as well.

Some things to never do: (A small list of things that will likely result in you disappearing from the server with no warning.)
- Hate speech, or bullying of any kind. Whether the target is present to hear it or not. You will be banned. Swiftly.
- 'Doxxing' (Intentional release of personal information, regardless of how it was gained.) This is a clear violation of someone's privacy. It is not tolerated.
- Posting of content intending to cause emotional distress or disturb others. (Not the occasional meme, but images of violence, gore, nudity, etc)

And finally, in case you missed it...

DO NOT SPAM POSTS IN CHANNELS OTHER THAN POSTPROMOTION - This server is not for mass marketing, increasing exposure, or gaining an artificial following.
