Gambling and the outcome
Today while surfing 9GAG, I have come across a quite interesting image of a note hanging on a bridge
Suicide doesn't take the pain away! It passes it to someone else!
As we are in the middle of the World Cup 2018, I am very sure that in your area, there are some betting activities going on.
Same here, except we have many suicides cases due to losing a bet
In the city where I live, people tend to have a strong favor of betting. Esepcially in big event like World Cup, they participate heavily in betting against the odds. However, it is an extreme activity that many poeple have cost their life.
Borrowed money from loan shartks to be on the bet
In many suicide cases, the person borrowed money from loan shark with extremely high interest rate to bet all-in into one team. As a result, when the team looses, they have lost everything, and the ability to repay the debt, with interest.
They chose to end their life, passing on the pain and the debt.
Most of the cases here involved in the poor, ill educated poeple who are trying to earn a fortune with betting. For me, it is wrong in many levels.
Are you against betting?
No, I am not. Indeed, I favor the idea of betting for fun and entertainment purpose only. It is fun if you bet your favourite team in a face-off with your friends, and who win will have the privillage to eat without paying. In this case, it is quite fun, isn't it?
Betting should be for enterainting purpose only, and should be based on the money you can loose only. Do not bet with money you dont have or cannot live without.
A simple yet difficult to follow advice.
I agree completely. It is such a sad reason to end up without any money or worse owing money to loan sharks. I usually buy a lotto ticket every week, but it is less than what I pay to ride the bus to and from work. I don't really bet big on anything other than stocks market, and cryptocurrencies as gambling on sports has little to no appeal for me.

Betting is an addiction similar to drinking, drugs etc anything really which is excessive. Personally for me its the worse as if you drink too much take too many drugs you eventually die coz your body cant take it where as gambling you don't die it physically doesn't harm you but mentally wow it literally mind fucks you. Speaking as a gambler lol
