Week 16 Results | 10W-10L-04P | -0.960 Units Loss
This was a pretty rough week despite the limited loss on my bets in the Belgian League. Betting overall has been somewhat in downswing mode, the crypto markets continued to go in free fall and I made a needed withdrawal from my betting bankroll in order to cover my general costs of living for the year 2019. I always put my expenses aside an entire year ahead of time so that I never rely on short-term betting results in order to pay the bills. This hurts once a year but gives so much comfort and a worry-free mindset betting wise for an entire year. One of the reasons I'm invested and have been putting a lot of time into blogging platforms like Steemit & Scorum is because they can potentially help to provide some more stability when it comes down to income from Sports Betting activities.
Despite covering my costs for 2019 and the downwards betting performance along with the crypto market breakdown, I barely had to move down in stakes for now. I always have had a rather defensive bankroll management approach with an eye on the long-term being able to survive the tough moments. Continuity is really important and I always state in my bottom warning text that "There are very few people that are equipped financially and psychologically to handle the ups and downs of gambling on a daily basis."
As far as bets went this weekend there is not really that much to say and it could easily have turned out in a winning week. The longer-term picture still looks very good being above the expected pink line in the graph below. The markets are quite sharp lately though and it's certainly more of a challenge to find solid betting spots. I'm still quite confident and looking forward to the season to continue.

So far the trend on the downside remains fairly limited and there has not been a huge downswing so far this year. The volume keeps piling up though and the betting sample is getting more representative week by week. It is all still very fragile and a -8 unit week is most certainly possible which would crush the overall ROI in a blink of an eye. The focus is one bet at a time and I will do what I can to make week 17 into a profitable one.

We have to be honest that it was a weekend full of surprises. The losses of Brugge and Genk being the biggest surprises!
I didn't bet much, but if I would have I would also have written red figures!
