RE: The money game

100% agree. The truth of resource management is as boring as it is unglamorous. There's really nothing magical about it. For me, knowledge of where your money stories came from is important because it brings into focus patterns that may be playing out. Did you learn about money from family and are you repeating old patterns that aren't helpful to where you want to be? Do you listen to larger financial institutions, do you think they know best? Education is key so you have information to make the best decisions for you.

Very important and valid points. I must saying basic money management came from my mom, she has always been the one who managed the budget and who got savings for vacations. My dad on the other hand he is pretty much the one who will lend you money if you need, he will not hesitate to buy you something and maybe the one with more money related issues, he just doesn't care about money. In fact yesterday we were talking and he was telling me all this stuff that he feels so proud we are doing good and everything about work, he taught me that you can be happy no matter what and that you should not stick to money and investing money and time to raise kids and family is the most important thing in his life and he is really happy that he can see how it has worked out.

How wonderful parents teaching excellent values!
