RE: The CRASH Of The Banking System & The FALL Of Free Speech with G. Edward Griffin

in #money6 years ago

There's nothing in the Constitution about freely giving up one's right to free speech.
We do it everyday, if we have a boss/employer. They actively suppress our speech.
It is a free speech right to speak out against other people free speech too. Merely complaining about someone's content, is not actually censorship.
And when we work for FB, Twiiter and YouTube, providing them with their inventory of people's data, we give up this privatd information quite willingly. American will give up all their free speech in exchange for free games and free, quality porn.
The Constitution only limits the government's ability to censor.
The grey area is with monopolies so large, they are virtually equivalent to the power of the government. And many of these monopolies now own the government.
I'm assuming you're not advocating for enforcing the Sherman Anti-Trust act...but are you saying that the government should regulate these quasi-public utilities so they cannot censor?
Hmmmm...regulating business...I thought that was bad?
