The Federal Reserve is not a part of the government and is no more Federal than Federal Express. The Federal Reserve Is essentially run by 6 banks, which just happen to be the same 6 banks that Treasury Secretary Mnuchin spoke with in December just prior to President Trump issuing his "buy" recommendation. These banks are J.P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup.
