Why is Amazon stock doing so well?

Amazon is constantly investing in the future.

They're always steps ahead of the competition. Amazon Prime members spend 50% more on Amazon than non-members. Their strategy of investing in Hollywood movies and TV is a strategy to get more people to subscribe to prime.

They've offered free 2 day shipping to Prime members for years and Walmart is finally offering free 2 day shipping on orders $35+. Just as Walmart did that, Amazon is launching free 2-hour delivery with a $20 minimum to prime members. That's incredible. Within the hour for $8 fee.

Amazon is also working on their own brick and morter stores without a check out. Who wouldn't want to go grocery shopping there without having to wait on line? Amazon figures out how to make everything cheaper and save us time.
Alexa, for example can be used in the future to order anything you want with a seamless transaction. "Hey Alexa, please order me a bundle of paper towels" or push a Dash button to order more toilet paper. Amazon is taking convenience to the next level and speed is the name of the game in the future.

Amazon is in so many industries, too many to count. They're usually doing it better and at a lower cost. This allows them to take market share in all the industries they invest in.

I can see Amazon taking everything over. EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

P.S. I don't not own Amazon stock and wouldn't invest in them anytime soon. Their trading at 300 times their earnings and do not pay a dividend. Therefore, not a stock for me!
