Collapsing Societies Accept Bitcoins

Travelling home from a friend's house, I saw this billboard.

This was one of eight advertisements in the subway.

I was walking along the platform and noticed this. I have been buying and selling cryptos in Argentina for over seven years. There has always been massive activity at localbitcoins.com and other sites prior to the existence of localbitcoins. There were sites for paying bills with bitcoin and many Bitcoin Foundation meetings to meet traders.

This ad,however, was in view of the general public. Like Venezuelans, we are dealing with doubling and tripling of prices and currency denominations, with that comes acceptance of digital assets that hold their value.

Now that bitcoins and ethereum are expensive and unreliable...

Everyone is being made aware of them. Wouldn't you know it.

I intentionally blocked out the name on the ad. I don't believe in steering people towards a company that may have questionable business practices.
