Monochrome Monday
I like black and white. You know, the questions that are either right or wrong. So simple, it is foolproof. Right or wrong. Yes or no. Bad choice, good choice. It seems like every day, someone I know is faced with situations and circumstances that are not always so clear-cut. I live an excessive amount of time – not in the kingdom of black and white, but in the land of possibilities, painted in varying shades of gray, causing "much ado about nothing" for my brain. My mind sees the contradiction that my heart does not feel. My heart tends to lean into the gray areas and park. For a moment.
Sometimes a little longer than that.
There was something in the air tonight; between the region of charm and delight. The softness of the Spring, after the rains have gone.
Breathe in the air – make it last all night.
Even at a distance, you have a tendency to stand out in a crowd. Yes, you do. — He loves me, he loves me not.

I believe reality is located more in shades of grey, but so are fairy tales. One can never go far wrong, following their heart.

Well, the gut always works, except in the matters of the heart. Then, it sometimes has a mind of its own.

I find that things are rarely black and white (if ever) which is one reason why I'm I can be such a procrastinator Denise @dswigle.
I love the daisy with the grey background. I wish I was Google had the option to create that sort of effect in their photo editing tools! 😊

I wish they did too as I just love a little dash of happy in that sea of gray. It brings a smile to my lips. Perhaps someday soon?

Excellent writings about the BW world. I prefer, often, the BW decision stream but seem forever stuck in the gray. Decisions are always hard. Seeing too many variables and possibilities. Sometimes it would be easier to stay in the BW. Love your photos, the combination flower is really cool. (So old fashioned, I am..."cool". Does anyone say that anymore?). Your heart rock is a charmer. My sister seeks those and sticks and such out, and collects them.
I know what you mean. I can be very black and white about things, but, then... oh, the possibilities really bog me down. I can do this, but... what if that happens.
Sigh.
It is easier to stay in the black and white. Very cut and dried. Boom. Yes. No. There is no room for maybe so. Oh, of course, everyone still says cool!! You're still shaking it, ba-by! :)
I collect some, but, mostly take pictures unless it is a rock or shell or something that I won't have to find a place for. I keep the rocks in my garden. :)

Beautiful shots - I especially like the softness in the hydrangea photo (I think that's what it is).
And you are right about living in the grey. I think as humans we are wired to need boundaries and rules to know when to go right or left or say yes or no.
Sometimes black and white thinking is necessary but in excess it can cause us to become stuck in a groove. We need to hear the whole song.
It is, in fact, a hydrangea and the only one I didn't play with the color. I like one white one.
You hit the nail on the head. We do need boundaries, cradle to grave. It makes life so much simpler. I do like the black and white of things, but, grey had become my favorite color.

I do love flowers. Maybe because they are easy to photograph. Who knows. They speak to me. :)
