Monochrome Monday - Fascinations of Rock Formations !!
On my last weeks @monochromemonday i presented to you ' Fascinations of Waterfalls ' well this week i like to present to you ' Fascinations of Rock Formations ' i could talk about mother nature till your ears drop of well i just love all of mother natures creations there is not a day that goes by that we come across some creation of mother nature that will remind us of what beauty is around us.
My recent visit to Sydney , Australia took me back to my local beach called Maroubra Beach which i hadn't visited for quite awhile it use to be our favorite beach from the school days. It's located in Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and my mom's home and our school was near by so after school we always go catch some waves on them hot summer days or dive or jump of some of them rock cliffs.
This was a very popular beach amongst the surfing group and still is we use to call them ' Wax Heads ' in the school days but my reason was not only to go there for a swim and look at the views which were amazing and still are i use to love going for a wonder walking along the cliff sides looking at all the different rock formations i had a fascination about rocks and cliff edges.
Watching that sea water , sea salts , rain and heavy winds constantly pounding against them cliff faces tells you a lot how theses cliffs faces and rocks end up with all these fascinating shapes and grooves it's like them going through a rock grinding machine and broken down to pieces of rock called the erosion process over many years.
They certainly turn out to be some pretty amazing masterpieces of art , that mother nature definitely puts a lot of work and years into forming these fascinating masterpiece formations something you want to take a piece of and hang in your lounge room.
You know i can go on about all the Scientifics of National Geographic how the blowing of millions of years all these sharps are formed by what we can call a sandblasting effect over millions of years but it all comes down to appreciating the beautiful scenery that mother nature ends up giving us and you just got to look around you to see that.
I will leave you with this " I myself crave a love so deep for the cliffs and the rocks that the ocean would be jealous of me."

It is unbelievable how the power of nature is reflected in everything. These are great photos in which you show that wonderful.
It certainly plays a big part with everything that's evolves around us and thank you for your kind words:)
You're welcome
Great pics! I have started admiring rock images ever since I developed an interest in images from Mars especially after watching the movie. Fascinating!
Like @ackhoo, I too like the honeycomb and molten lava images - they just stand out on the page.
Thank you rocks do have distinctive features that are hard to ignore the more you look at them the more you appreciate and love them :)
That's a great collection of black & white photos! I love the lines and textures on the rocks carved by the waves...
Thank you ...amazing what mother nature can producer :)
Wow! Hi, Angelo... that's some collection you have there - I think the most fascinating are the honey-comb ones and the molten lava or 'flowing rock' kind! Must be something seeing them up close and personal! Cheers, my friend... have a good week ahead! :)
