There was once a girl not to tall,
Who knew life was one great big grand ball,
But not all good things stay,
Sometimes summer gives way,
And the season to be was now fall.
I love the light that the season affords
Sleighbells, poinsettia and Christmas returns in turn
Seasonal changes have nearly begun
Soon they will be in an out and out run
I makes me sad to have to admit
You may be right
But, I cannot resist
To put up a fuss
Just a little bit

And if you take my summer away
It will be "off with your head"
Banished to the Kingdom of Fall-ish
Where you belong
Yet darkness and night
Produce their own fine bright light,
As fireplaces burn
and conversations churn.
Summer is just gone for a rest,
It's all for the best!
In winter the blackbirds can frolic
And the snow for children is like magic.
When finally the cold wind despairs
Spring will be in the air!
And the flowers once again will bloom.
