My wife won $100 on one jackpot, but put it all back in before we left. She has won $1000 twice on that machine, once on New Year’s Eve. Me, I just watch. I play video poker sometimes, or craps if we go to Vegas.

Two $1,000 jackpots? That’s really good.

Losing a hundred dollars and walking away even is definitely better than walking away a hundred in the hole;-) But I’m sure it would have felt good to have walked away with it in hand.

I haven’t gambled in a long time. I’ve never been very good at it.

The first $1000 was on New Year’s Eve 2017. We planned to stay at the casino until midnight but we left after less than 30 minutes when my wife won. There were no bells, lights, or even tax forms. We just printed the ticket, cashed it and went home.

This past weekend we didn’t leave even. My wife played that machine for quite a while and we left when the credits got to zero. We lost what we came with, but had fun.

That’s all that matters in the end, having fun.

Winning a $1000 on New Year’s Eve, that’s pretty exciting.

Do you know the dice game Left, Right, Center? I introduced it to my wife’s family and we play it every year on New Year’s Day. It’s a lot of fun. Every family puts in ¥1,000 and the jackpot goes to the kids as an extra Otoshidama.

We have that game. Lots of fun :-)

I love that game. My family used to always play it on Father’s Day after a big father and son golf tournament: a lot of big jackpots and good memories.

I also brought it to India and Vietnam with me and had some interesting times playing it in those countries.
