A Geeky Moment...

No cranky demanding divas are allowed to pose in front of my camera!

A nifty fifty this time.

For you who don't know what a hell is a nifty fifty, it's just a geeky photographic way to name a 50mm prime lens.

What's a prime lens?
A prime lens is any lens with a fixed focal length.

What does it mean, fix focal lens? (Damn, aren't we inquisitive today?)
Having a fix focal length means that the lens doesn't have the ability to zoom at all. The zoom is you, moving closer or further from the subject you're photographing.

Using a lens without zoom might sound weird and counterproductive to some of you. In theory it makes everything so much harder right?

Not necessarily. After you get used to it you start to know what are the optimal distances to stand from your subjects and everything ends up falling into place and become natural.

A learning curve that is well worth to be ridden.
