The first frosts are ruthless on any late bloomer.
The Polish winter is no exception on that matter.
The first image shows a Sunflower after few freezing nights.
I also gave it a little twist and shot it from behind, since most of the people tend to do the opposite with any flower they photograph.
There's always another side...

These bowing fellas bellow are/were Chrysanthemum buds.
Also caught by the first unforgiving Polish frosts.
Some of them didn't even bloom.

I like them; I like the way they tell the story of winter... death and decay before there is some kind of rebirth in the spring.
