Looking Through The Brighton Wheel

This photograph from inside a capsule on the Brighton Wheel or Wheel of Excellence as it was also called.

It was a transportable Ferris wheel installation which operated from October 2011 until May 2016 on the seafront in Brighton. Rumour has it, that when the i360 was built, the contract was agreed on the condition that the Wheel would be removed.

I rode on it only once and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a gift for my mum and both my kids joined us.

    Great photo. The details of wheel are great subject for black and white plus you managed to get the beach in the background. Were those gondolas air conditioned ?

    I'm not sure @steven-patrick. Most summers it wouldn't really be a problem, although maybe they were since there were made of glass. This year they would have been unbearably hot without some sort of cooling. 😊
