Mount Hanuman Tibba Peak 5982 Meter

in #monomad5 years ago (edited)

Mount Hanuman Tibba Peak is the highest mountain peak of the Dhauldhar mountain Range in Himachal Pradesh, India with an altitude of 5982 metres .

Never visited this peak and this year I am full on it. Trek starts from Solang valley (2450m). Trekkers take first halt at Bakkarthach (2775m), and third will be at Beas kund (3890m) and next 4-5 will be on glacier.

Clicked last year in October month when clouds were playing around the summit.

Why it is called Mount Hanuman? Any story behind it

Posted using Partiko Android

It was unnamed peak since 1912 and when it climbed first time by Gen C .G Bruce’s chief swiss guide then they gave name to it "Solang Weissorn". This name had not approved by Indian Mountraining Foundation hence locals named it Hanuman because of its shape like Hanuman. And tibba means in local language Peak, that's why now it is Hanuman Tibba peak.
