Kyoto street series #20 - Sanjusangendo, the temple of the 1001 Buddhas

I've taken this photo at the one of the most extraordinary temples I've visited so far. Unfortunately, it's not permitted to take photos of the fabulous 1001 golden statues of the Buddhas in exhibition inside. They are standing and are huge. I've bought the catalog so I can enjoy seeing this magistral work of art.

The building that hosts the statues is this one, and this long. A wonderful piece of wooden architecture!

Settings: Canon 5D MkIII and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 IF EX DG HSM Lens. Edited with Lightroom. Shutter speed 1/30 at f/9.0, 24mm, ISO 125.
