Black-Capped Chickadees
Along with the Blue Jays, the little Black-Caps are a joy to see coming around the yard with their musical song ~🎶chick-a-dee-dee-dee🎶.
Sometimes their song is a cheery 🎶fee-bee or fee-bee-ee 🎶sound.
Chick-a dee-dee-dee is an alarm call. The number of "dees" depends if there is a predator in their territory.
During the colder weather, the tiny black and white songbirds have been stopping by the back deck to clean up food crumbs left by the bigger birds.

This photo was taken a few weeks ago when there was a sprinkling of snow on the deck.
These cute birds stay around all year. They like living in a mixed forest which is what is on the property.
While walking in the forest I often hear their song of 🎶 chick-a dee-dee-dee🎶. Must be their alarm ~ an intruder is coming through!
With the snow and the black and white of the Chickadee, the photos are naturally #monomad.

Mornin’ Cowboy! The Blue Jays seem to be the easiest to photograph.
There are quite a few different birds that hang around all winter. It’s just they are too fast to get a photo sometimes.
howdy today redheadpei! oh I see, well it's nice to have a variety! And you have a fine selection there. As long as they all like the same food so you don't have to fix them different meals. lol.
Nothing goes to waste here Cowboy. Any leftovers the outside critters eat...no special meals. I don’t know how the beans reacted on them. 😂
haha! I guess I would need to research online to see if it's okay to serve them beans! lol.
But that is an advantage with the garbage or left overs, you have critters that will eat it all, that's pretty nice!
