3-حساب العقود المستقبيلة هو
العقد المستقبلي عقدٌ مبرم بين طرفين لشراء سلعة معينة أو أصل آخر في لحظة زمنية تالية لكن بسعر يتم الاتفاق عليه اليوم.

عادة ما يكون الشيء المُشترى في العقد المستقبلي بكمية وجودة قياسية، ويتفق كلا الطرفين على سعرٍ في تلك اللحظة (عادة ما يُسمى "سعر التنفيذ" (strike price)" ويكون التسليم في تاريخ مستقبلي محدد (ويُسمى "تاريخ التسليم").
