Demanding and Commanding Respect has been an issue with teenagers and adults amd even human in generalisation. Everyone wants to be spoken to with respect, they want to feel important, they want to be addressed as much as they are worth, they want to be regarded as much as their net worth/ self worth.

They frown at that "low-life minimum wage worker" that splashed Kool-Aid on their Versace Spring Collection Shirt. They threaten him with his life and make him realise that he is in no way near their calibre.
They walk into the room with so much elegance that the Key-note speaker stammers at the scent of their KKW perfume and the sight of the Yeezy Boots.
They clear their throat for recognition and flip their credit cards in pride.
They throw the keys of their Porsche cars to the Valet who scurries to catch it lest it falls and ends up with a scratch.
They treat the Shop attendants with so much disrespect that she almost gets on her toes to wipe the dirts on their feets.
They are so much conscious of their time that they arrive late knowing fully well that nothing goes on without their presence.
They arrive in their sport cars and sunglasses flashing proud smiles to the news hungry press.
They are extremely concerned about remaining in the spotlight because that is the guage of their relevance. They matter with their material assets, their self worth becomes their net worth and a drastic decline in their net worths sends them off to Overdose and Blowing their brains out.

These are people who demanded for what they could have commanded if they went about their business in the right way. The Sad truth about respect is you don't earn it by asking for it, it would only reduce your earnings. You sure don't earn respect by disrespecting other people.

I likened respect like a Ice Cream, No matter the texture of the Ice cream it doesnt reduce your cravings. Oh yes, a soft ice cream and hard ice cream ends up getting sold for the same price no matter the weather. Why?
Because it is still Ice cream, whatever condition it is...It will still taste the same way. You might not enjoy it but even when it is warm already you still call it "Ice Cream". It doesn't loose its respect even when it is not up to par.
When you start demanding for respect it means you never contained enough to be respected. Yes sometimes you need to let people get a dose of your reality but deep down wouldn't you have loved them finding it out themselves, I mean the priceless shock on their faces and the incessant apologies while you tell them "It's Ok, really no offense taken"...Like you calmly address the situation.

Respect Commanded has a Longer Span than Respect Demanded!
