Everyone thinks that its easy and simple to be in a band. Yes, it's simple to get into or forming a band, everyone can do that, but not everyone can resist the pressure while in a band. It takes high-tolerance, commitment, sacrifice, courage, discipline and many more to stay in a band. Here are the 5 most important elements that keeps all the band members stick together till' now.

1. Tolerance

Tolerance is the number 1 element that you should have in your characteristic. It takes a highly tolerance and patience towards your other band members. Please keep in mind, that not everyone in a band agree with your opinions, some have different opinions and its best to sit in an open table, and talk about each other opinions. Its important for the growth of your band. Never make any decision or action towards anything without your bandmates approval, don't ever try to be a hero or leader. Every successful bands I know makes their own decision by all of the bandmates 100% support and approval. Don't mistaken between representative and leader, this two might looks the same but the truth is, its two different things.

2. Commitment

Commitment! Yes, you've heard it thousands of times, but do you give your 100%? A commitment consists of managing your times and effort to the band. Some people loves to sit in band meeting and propose their opinions, but ended up, doing nothing and hoping other members to do it for them. You should understand your role in the band besides playing and performing on stage. You can do only that if you have a manager, but what if you don't? Then, you have to move your ass and do all the A-Z. Its not easy. Being in band, especially an Indie band, you have to do all the stuff include paperworks, practice, book your own slot, dealing with organizers and many more. So, still thinks you can be a rockstar as soon you're in a band? Think twice...

3. Sacrifice

You will not be in band if not for the love of music and your dreams, right? So, in pursuing your dreams, you will have to sacrifice. Are you willing to sacrifice your time, money, relationship etc?? It was hard at first, but when you get used to it, it becomes normal and people around you started to understand on why you're willing to sacrifice all the good stuff while making your band moving forward.

4. Courage

When you're in a band and planning on to do it as your career, people told you that you're crazy, some will say that your band will not go far and there's no future in your band. But believe me, with the right level of courage, you will endure it. Either playing in a band or anything else, its require a high level of courage, because when it comes to dreams, it will always looks 50/50, its like you're gambling with your future, but if you have the courage, you know that your band's dreams will always be possible and certain.

5. Discipline

Discipline is everything! It'll shape you to a better person and people will always takes you as an example. Discipline is the form of punctual, attitude, respond, action and sincerity in a positive ways. Makes people work and communicate with you easily without any kind of problems and obstacle. Without discipline, anything that you pursue will always comes to a dark dead end.
