Home For The Homeless: SAVE THE CHILDREN
My heart swells with emotions at the plight of the less-privileged and homeless children...
You see, that’s not enough.
Homeless children are a large percentage of vulnerable children that need our art and act of kindness.
Our minutest support and care for these children goes a long way to ease their pains.
Why are Children Homeless?
In everyday life, children experience broken family ties, domestic violence, molestation, abuse and maternal mortality. So, they in turn lack a supportive, affordable, decent, conducive and secure place to live.
But, here's the kicker:
Homelessness is more than houselessness and dives deeper into greater vulnerability- psychological issues, social exclusion, mental and physical health issues.
Which leads us to the need to compassionately approach the homeless children by loving them and providing for their basic needs. We may not be able to offer them a physical abode or shelter but we can approach them with the warmth and comfort they need.

How can you show an act of kindness to the homeless child?
 Provide Physical and Mental Health Care
This requires your deep awareness and empathy of the suffering of vulnerable children. You can engage a specialist mental worker for prompt recovery from their chronic ailments.

 Offer a deep sense of belonging to the homeless child.
You may visit the orphanage- associate with them to build their self-esteem. Plus, provide for their basic needs such as food, clothing, laundry facilities, toiletries, and so on.
 Create a community for social and emotional Support.
Through this, you can help them develop courage, a sense of identity, collaborativeness and empathy. Homeless children can think outside their own reality and see the world in a whole new way. They can have a sense of equity in their experiences like: “We’ll come out stronger together.”

 Offer Personal-based and Social Therapies
Through individualized counselling, you can listen to their stories and feel their
pains. Let them know they can unleash their inner power, and make significant
contributions to the society.
Social activities such as sports and arts will help them gain independence and
capacities for greater responsibilities.

Final Thoughts
Child homelessness and vulnerability is a prevalant issue that must be confronted in the larger society.

Here’s the deal:
Homeless children can only move forward if they are embraced and not stigmatized.
Not only that, accepting and validating their stories and not prejudging their pains and distress are acts of kindness.
It gets better when you and I can:
-Look beyond the mask of every child we meet and find a heart to love
-Look into the eyes of a helpless child and offer hope.
-Look into the very heart of an abandoned orphan and give him a reason to live.
-Reach out to the girl who has found no worth in herself and unleash her core.
-Search for boys and girls behind the scene and help them find their ideal lives!

You or I can save a child!
Together, we can Save the Children!
