HOW TO MOTIVATE STAFFS

Motivation are programmes and plans put into actions by a company or a boss to stimulate workers working attitude and gain their loyalty.

Human is the most vital resources in any company and so they should be treated as such.

Many companies have poor output because the workers are not happy with their job due to some reasons from the inability of a management to stir up the workers prowess as regards the job.

A company that wants to get a goodwill and stay for an unforeseen number of years should be anle to have a laid down good plans for always appreciating and motivating the staffs.

Motivation is a key part of managerial function which all manager that wants to excel must learn and put into action.

As must as the management have the power to motivate the style through putting in place conditions and incentives to make the staff feel appreciated which is called the EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION, the staffs can also motivate themselves from inside them which is called INSTRINTIC MOTIVATION.

Many school of though have argued that motivation should determined by the staff,i.e the staff has to motivate himself because if he is not motivated inside nothing the management can do to motivate him/her while some other scholars said the motivation of staffs have to be a managerial function.

WAYS MANAGERS CAN MOTIVATE STAFFS

  1. Staffs can be motivated through incentives plans like overtime allowance, additional pay over job accomplished in due time, leave allowance, free medical care.

  2. Promotion of staffs in a constituted specific time frame. Humans love to be acknowledged and given positions. The management should peridiocally promote staffs that warrants it.

  3. Staffs should be allow to go on leave with the leave allowance imminent.

  4. A good safety working environment should be always assured by the management.

  5. Responsbility and tasks should be delegated to subordinates.

  6. The company should sponsor staffs education and trainning.

  7. The staff should always get opinions from staffs before taking decisions.

  8. Managers should create time to interact with their staffs.

  9. Always say a word of appreciation to the staff when they are on a task and when they have finished.

  10. The staffs should know that their job is secured.

Before you can pull customers to a business, you have to pull the staffs closer to the business.
