So, here is my equation: Passion + Reinforcement equals sustainable results.

Our commitment, dedication, and continuity in a thing depending on how it is been appreciated and supported to a very large extent. It is natural for one to give up on something especially when they are not encouraged through words or actions. No doubt that intrinsic motivation is the best form of motivation which is an unbeatable driving force to sustainable success but on the other hand, rewards are necessary to boost one's morale to do better. For instance, most talented musicians give up their careers mostly because of lack of reinforcement in the form of rewards or support which are necessary to encourage them to do much better in their field; either by improving in the quality of music produced or attending to other essential needs.

THE IMPORTANCE OF REINFORCEMENT IN THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Some organizations who understand the importance of reinforcement, ensure their staff is properly taken care of by paying their salaries at when due and attending to other essential needs that will enable them to function properly at work. By doing so, workers will double their efforts and ensure they contribute their quotas in making sure the organization does effectively well. They won't joke with their jobs because the organization treats them well.

Even in our homes, most parents who understand the technique of reinforcement through words like well done, you are a great child, I'm proud of you tend to have great children with sustainable pleasant behaviors because if a parent is fond of complaining always, a child's interest to help in the house or do things willing might reduce. Also, there is a high possibility of the child not putting in his best when he feels unappreciated.

Finally, whether at home or work, everyone loves to be appreciated for his efforts and so, let's not fail to support someone's passion today by saying something nice and assisting in the best possible way we can to ensure their passion is sustained.
