Assomotor Honda seem to have been super busy over the Christmas period firstly with the signing of Arminas Jasikonis as i reported yesterday here. Not content with that they have now brought in Petar Petrov to join him and complete the 450 MXGP team for the 2018 season. This will be his first in the premier class but i have no doubt he is up for the challenge.

I must say 2017 has been a hard one, but I have learned a lot and looking forward to what this year will bring us. Thanks to everyone for the support and bring on the New Year."

The past year has been a tough one for Petrov aboard his Monster Energy KRT MX2 250F, he finished the season in thirty-fifth due to multiple injuries thought the campaign. Before the season kicked off he damaged a ligament in his ankle and was forced to withdraw but managed to return for the MXGP of Trentino. This comeback was short lived though as three rounds later he came down with a mystery illness that sapped his energy, forcing him off the bike again. After recovering, he returned at the MXGP of Russia but had and off and hurt his shoulder which saw the end of his season.

While this might seem bad, and no doubt is very unlucky, i see his future as bright at Assomotor. He has got all his bad luck out the way and is now on a good bike, with a good team and moving up to the 450s.
